Follow: Worship

Definition

Whether gathered publicly with other believers or privately in awe of His character and handiwork, we actively praise God!

“Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created.”
Revelation 4:11

Get Started: Daily Time With God

Priority = Make it the first thing. Try changing your alarm title to "I give my life to Jesus.”
Place = Pick a place you best connect with God. Try outdoors, alone in a room, in silence, with music, in a favorite chair, etc.  Find what best engages you.
Posture = Adopt a physical posture that helps you worship. Try kneeling, standing, sitting still, walking, arms extended, palms up, etc.
Praise = Adore God for who He is and what He's done. Try these ideas to get you started:
God is Great – so we don’t need to be in control.
Praise God for being fully in control and using everything in our lives for our good (Eph 1:11, Rom 8:26-39)
God is Glorious – so we don’t need to fear others.
Praise God for His glory, holiness, power, splendor, beauty, grace, mercy, and love (Ps 96)
God is Good – so we don’t need to look elsewhere for satisfaction.
Praise God because He alone ultimately satisfies in a true and lasting way (Ps 107:9)
God is Gracious – so we don’t need to prove ourselves.
Praise God because He is “ready to forgive, gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love” (Neh 9:17)
