- Devotional: Because we have been raised with Christ, Paul reminds us that our lives should no longer be driven by old ways that once held us captive. In this season of Lent, many of us may be feeling the weight of hurt or unresolved conflict, and the call to forgive can feel especially hard—if not impossible. Yet, we forgive not to prove our spiritual strength to God, but because we are already forgiven and held secure in Christ. As God’s beloved people, we are invited to clothe ourselves with compassion and mercy, trusting the peace of Christ to steady our hearts as we extend grace to others. When the word of Christ lives richly among us, forgiveness becomes a healing gift God uses to restore both our broken hearts and our broken fellowship with one another.
- Discussion Questions:
- What stood out to you in today’s passage?
- What questions do you still have?
- What is God asking you to do in response?
End your time with prayer, and ask the Lord to help you apply what you have learned today.
