- Devotional: In this passage, Jesus calls us away from prayer that seeks the approval of others and draws us instead into sincere communion with our Heavenly Father. He reminds us that prayer isn’t a performance or a way to impress anyone, but a humble expression of our dependence on the God who sees and knows us fully. Simple prayer is an act of faith—we begin by seeking God’s glory, we submit our desires to His kingdom and will, and we trust His care by bringing our daily needs before Him. During this season of repentance and renewal, this passage invites us to pray simply, trust deeply, and rest confidently in the Father who truly loves us.
