March 25 - Wednesday

Ask the Holy Spirit to guide your time, then read the following Scriptures.

  • Scripture: Romans 5:1-11

Reflect on the devotional, and answer the questions to dive in deeper!

  • Devotional: Romans 5 reminds us that suffering does not mean God is against us. We have already been justified by faith and have peace with Him through Christ. Paul traces a surprising path: suffering produces endurance, character, and hope—not because pain itself is good, but because God is faithful in the midst of it. The Scriptures promise that this hope will not disappoint, for God has poured His love into our hearts through the Holy Spirit. During Lent, this passage anchors our suffering in the cross, where Christ demonstrated His love by dying for us while we were still sinners. Our hardships, then, are not signs of God’s abandonment. They are invitations to trust more deeply in the One who has already secured our future.

  • Discussion Questions:
    1. What stood out to you in today’s passage?
    2. What questions do you still have?
    3. What is God asking you to do in response?

End your time with prayer, and ask the Lord to help you apply what you have learned today.
