- Devotional: Today’s passage shows us the ultimate example of humility. Jesus does the unthinkable: the Lord of all creation takes the place of a servant and washes the feet of His disciples. He kneels before them fully aware of who He is and where He is going, and that frees Him to serve without hesitation. This moment reveals how easily we resist being served by Christ and how reluctant we can be to serve others quietly and without recognition. During Lent, we are called to sit humbly at Jesus’s feet, receiving His cleansing mercy before we try to imitate His example. As those washed by His grace, we are sent to love and serve one another—not to earn favor, but because we already belong to Him.
- Discussion Questions:
- What stood out to you in today’s passage?
- What questions do you still have?
- What is God asking you to do in response?
End your time with prayer, and ask the Lord to help you apply what you have learned today.
