March 2 - Monday

Ask the Holy Spirit to guide your time, then read the following Scriptures.

  • Scripture: 2 Chronicles 33:1-20

Reflect on the devotional, and answer the questions to dive in deeper!

  • Devotional: Manasseh’s story in 2 Chronicles 33 reminds us that no amount of sin places us beyond the reach of God’s mercy. After years of rebellion, idolatry, outright defiance, and even child sacrifice, Manasseh is brought low—and it’s there that he finally humbles himself and seeks the Lord. His confession isn’t polished or impressive—it’s done in the midst of bitter exile. Nevertheless, it’s real, and God responds with forgiveness and restoration. During Lent, this passage invites us to stop excusing our sin and instead come honestly before God, trusting that Christ has already secured mercy for repentant sinners. Confession doesn’t minimize our sin, but it magnifies the grace of a God who delights to forgive!

  • Discussion Questions:
    1. What stood out to you in today’s passage?
    2. What questions do you still have?
    3. What is God asking you to do in response?

End your time with prayer, and ask the Lord to help you apply what you have learned today.
