March 7 - Saturday

Ask the Holy Spirit to guide your time, then read the following Scriptures.

  • Scripture: James 5:7-20

Reflect on the devotional, and answer the questions to dive in deeper!

  • Devotional: James 5 reminds us that confession is meant to be lived out in community, not kept locked away in isolation. When James calls believers to confess their sins to one another, he points us toward the healing that comes through honest prayer and shared dependence on God. This kind of confession doesn’t replace our confession before the Lord—it flows out of it, as God’s grace reshapes how we walk together as His church. During Lent, these verses invite us to slow down, examine our hearts, and bring what is  hidden into the light with wisdom and love. When we do these things with other believers, confession becomes a means God uses to restore wandering hearts and strengthen our perseverance as we wait for the Lord’s return.

  • Discussion Questions:
    1. What stood out to you in today’s passage?
    2. What questions do you still have?
    3. What is God asking you to do in response?

End your time with prayer, and ask the Lord to help you apply what you have learned today.
