Reflect on the devotional, and answer the questions to dive in deeper!
- Devotional: In today’s passage, Paul reminds us that humility isn’t optional for the Christian life—it flows from the Gospel itself. Jesus, who had every right to cling to His glory, chose instead the difficult path of obedience. He lowered Himself all the way into death for our sake. During Lent, we are invited to examine our pride and self-interest in light of the cross, where Jesus’s sacrifice exposes our idols of recognition and comfort. Lent gives us space to slow down and learn again from our humble Savior. As we fix our eyes on Christ, we’re shaped into a people who serve others gladly, trusting God to lift up what we have surrendered to Him.
- Discussion Questions:
- What stood out to you in today’s passage?
- What questions do you still have?
- What is God asking you to do in response?
End your time with prayer, and ask the Lord to help you apply what you have learned today.
