March 26 - Thursday

Ask the Holy Spirit to guide your time, then read the following Scriptures.

  • Scripture: Romans 8:12-39

Reflect on the devotional, and answer the questions to dive in deeper!

  • Devotional: Romans 8 reminds us that suffering is part of life in a broken world, but it is never the final word for those who belong to Christ. As sons and daughters adopted by grace, we suffer with Him now so that we may be glorified with Him later. Paul does not minimize our afflictions—the Bible never asks us to pretend that pain isn’t painful. Instead, he places them within the unshakable love of God that holds us fast. He anchors our hope in the gift of the Spirit, who intercedes for us when suffering leaves us overwhelmed and speechless. During Lent, this passage invites us to face hardship honestly while clinging to the promise that nothing can separate us from the love of Jesus. Even in our weakness and groaning, God is at work, carrying us forward toward a future where suffering will give way to redemption and everlasting life.

  • Discussion Questions:
    1. What stood out to you in today’s passage?
    2. What questions do you still have?
    3. What is God asking you to do in response?

End your time with prayer, and ask the Lord to help you apply what you have learned today.
