- Devotional: In Matthew 11, Jesus thanks the Father that the truths of His kingdom are revealed not to the confident and self-important, but to the humble and needy. He invites the weary to come to Him for rest—not by trying harder, but by trusting Him and submitting to His kind and steady rule. That same humility shows up again in Matthew 18, where Jesus says that the greatest in His kingdom are like children—those who know they depend entirely on God. Lent presses us to let go of pride and the exhausting habit of self-reliance. And as we come low before Christ, we find that His yoke really is easy and that His grace is truly enough.
- Discussion Questions:
- What stood out to you in today’s passage?
- What questions do you still have?
- What is God asking you to do in response?
End your time with prayer, and ask the Lord to help you apply what you have learned today.
